NEW! Open to grades 3rd-12th! *WE ARE ALL BEGINNERS and can learn in a multi-level environment! An orchestra learns and plays together. Bring the String instrument of your choice: Violin, Viola, Cello, or Piano/Keyboard! Students will learn how to follow a conductor while learning to play a string instrument or the piano/keyboard using the top method in the world, the Suzuki method! 95% of symphony orchestra musicians are trained using this method, beginning as early as age 2, to reach the level of performing with a symphony. Students of Frederick Price will learn together and progress at their own rate in a differentiated learning environment within the orchestra. Older students will learn to play not only the main melody lines, but will have the opportunity to show leadership and challenge themselves with learning harmony parts to enhance our sound. All students will experience an increase in self-confidence, self-discipline, gross and fine motor skills, as well as working together as a team. *String Instruments and small keyboards are not provided, but links to approved discounted instruments for rent or purchase will be sent with your Enrollment email after you have registered. Piano keyboard students do not need more than 61 keys on a keyboard to practice at home. *School Orchestra rehearsals = Fridays, 3:05-4:00 pm afterschool
